Narc

I wrote the following little word-bite a few years ago...back when it became not only fashionable, but apparently necessary for ANY person with a differing and free, personal opinion to be labeled a "Narcissist".

Of course, narcissist was only one of the many egregious labels thrown like grenades at people who did not get in line and acquiesce to the popular vibe.

To the utter confusion and disdain of a lot of folks, I never accepted "my marching orders".


At least I was always in good company.


No, I was never a hardcore "Trumper" and no, I never wore the red hats or flew the red flags that are still so despised by some. I've never kept it a secret that I am indeed a registered Republican - always have been - but I'm so sorry to inform you that my party registration does NOT in any way define me as a narcissist. What I DID do was openly dare to question what was happening at the time and more importantly 'why' and 'how' it could ever happen. That was all. That was it. And THAT act alone earned me the moniker of "narcissist".


I have NEVER given up my right and duty to question and think for myself.

Sorry to say that even that does not define my as a narcissist.

Like I said, I was always in good company...I still am.






Oh, and if this makes your blood boil and angers you, then GOOD!

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with disagreement!

And if you STILL just can't get over it, I guess that's just too bad for you.


So, all of that background aside, I hope you enjoy!

You say Narcissist   but

you don’t know its real meaning

everyone else is – and must be – exactly that

because they don’t see everything exactly your way.

That should be interesting…

 

You say Narcissist   but

without any regard for intent

everyone else must be selfish

and in love with themselves

they have to be because

they don’t agree with your way.

 

They won’t agree with your every word     so

they must be wrong, they must be the Narcs

They just refuse to accept the simple fact   that

you hold all the answers to

every question they could ever ask

but why won’t they listen?

 

You say Narcissist     and

they only work harder to

refuse your authority

You say Narcissist     and

still they refuse to acquiesce and

give up their right to free-thought    so

still you pronounce them Narcissist.

 

I guess that’s ALL they could ever be, right?

 

Better go read a dictionary, Fool.
