The total and absolute disconnect and willing ignorance that is currently on display is truly and unequivocally astounding!
Quite frankly, it’s disappointing that so many grown adults are behaving like this!
With every day that passes, the fog in their eyes grows thicker.
In each day that passes, they ‘double-down’…“Maybe today people will believe what we’re telling them! They just HAVE to listen if we keep screaming it!”
With every day that passes, the delusion grows – one ‘double-down’ at a time.
These people are not only amusing to watch – in the same vein as a late-night TV skit – but they do nothing more than grow and nurture the CONFIDENCE AND CONVICTION of the rest of the world and all of The People in it and what we all REALLY want.
It’s a lot like squishing a big, fat, juicy spider under a book…as much as you know you shouldn’t look, you just have to…they have become a morbid curiosity that must be seen to be believed. They are THAT ridiculous in their delivery.
It’s all the result of a total and absolute refusal to accept reality and the world as it is, nothing more.
A protest can be a good thing. It’s a visible, public method for expressing your dissatisfaction with whatever government policy or ELECTED official that gives you an itch.
BUT…if you have NO clue what details surround the policy or ELECTED official that you are protesting, your efforts work in reverse – you push The People away from your opinion, and as a result, no one cares what you have to say.
And by details, I’m referring to actual, stone-cold and solid FACTS.NOT the ravings of an overly biased, most-often paid asset of a “cable news” outlet and its mouthpieces…NOT even your favorite posts on social media (GASP!).
I’m talking about facts.
If you decide to protest, have a REAL reason, not someone else’s ideology…especially one that was manufactured to enlist and prey upon people that refuse to learn or think for themselves.
If you decide to protest, participate in a way that not only emboldens your cause but also forces spectators to question their own thinking; causes them to dig a little deeper into what you’re telling them…and maybe even sway them to your side of the field.
That takes a degree of courage in conviction.
That is mostly absent from damn-near EVERY protest that pops up these days.
Protests these days take me back to 1970’s TV and one of my favorite shows growing up. Remember this chant...“Heck no. We won’t go”?
Did a grown man REALLY believe that holding up a can of watered-down beer and an avocado, while proclaiming that The President’s tariff ANNOUNCEMENTS will be responsible for football fans NOT being able to enjoy the Superbowl, would raise an uproar with the 77 million American voters that voted for the President and ALL of the platforms on which he stood?
Did they REALLY think so little of The People that they felt an encouragement to drum on rhetoric concerning a fictious, ludicrous effect on a game that was being played just FIVE days later? Did they REALLY believe that ANY OF US CARED?
Even the most uninformed individual knows the very palpable difference between ANY government announcement and its implementation…and believe-it-or-not, they also know that NOTHING in government works THAT fast!
That one was insulting to say the least.
But the ‘double-down’ against The President rolled on…
ELECTED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS felt obligated to take to street corners and sing about it. Flying in the face of the very People that ELECTED them in the first place, they sang songs about it, fully expecting and believing that The People would line up behind them.
Didn’t happen.
But these were not just ANY kind of songs…they chose to create ‘old-time-1930’s-chain-gang’ songs for their protests…and they sang them – IN PUBLIC! AND IT ALL FELL FLAT!
Just one more big, fat, juicy spider squished under the book!
And if THAT wasn’t ridiculous enough, they changed gears to INTERPRETIVE DANCE as a means of protest! They chose an obscure type of dance that quite honestly, not a whole lot of people can appreciate or even understand, let alone support.
Yet THIS was another “carefully orchestrated” protest intent on swaying the masses against The President and his policies and actions.
IT LIKEWISE FELL FLAT!
Just another big, fat, juicy spider squished under the book!
Sadly, for all of their efforts, the only thing they really have to say in any type of protest is this…
“WE DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY AND THESE ARE THE REASONS WHY”
Instead, whenever questioned, they scream, “He’s a felon! He’s a racist! He’s a misogynist! He’s a Nazi!”, but they recoil as soon as they are asked “HOW IS HE THESE THINGS?”
They recoil because they have absolutely ZERO substance to their claims.
Sure, they can parrot what they’ve been told, but they have nothing but murky half-reported events – once again sprayed out on them by their favorite – and sympathetic – ‘news outlets’.
Don’t take my word for it…Think for Yourself and research it for yourself.
If you take a good look at the actual circumstances and happenings, you’ll find that the accusations are in no way rooted in reality, truth or any tangible circumstance. The one and only overriding factor in all of it is an unfounded, irrational, pure, unadulterated hatred for ONE MAN.
Their protest signs should read, “President bad! Ignore EVERYTHING else!”
What’s more, they make every effort to artificially bolster their ranks.
They would have you believe that thousands – if not millions – of The People are with them and protesting with them.
This is not true.
NO, their protest numbers are NO WHERE close to what they feebly attempt to portray in their own, carefully selected “news” outlets. NO WHERE CLOSE! You don’t need a specially chosen committee to see it. It’s all right there and all of it is laid bare.
Yes, there is a total and absolute disconnect and willing ignorance toward reality.
I guess the most astounding part for me is the ONLY argument they can produce to refute ALL that is being done in this country – BY MANDATE OF THE PEOPLE of this country – is…
“No, it’s not!”
It’s a five-year-old’s argument! By way of a real-world example:
“There are billions of dollars being wasted by government!”
“No there isn’t!”
“We have the list of what was wasted!”
“No, you don’t!”
“We have the receipts to prove it!”
“No, you don’t! You’re just saying our people are wasting money, you don’t have any proof!”
And if none of that nonsense works? Then what’s the last-ditch effort?
SCREAM AT WHOEVER QUESTIONS YOU. Just scream and stomp your feet like a five-year-old throwing a tantrum because they couldn’t get an ice cream cone!
All of this is considered to be valid defense by ‘children’ that never faced ANY consequences for their actions growing up. Children who never knew an ounce of discipline and were allowed to throw fits if they didn’t get their way…children whose parents let them have their way if they screamed about it. And now we all have to listen to these mock-adults scream because all they ever learned was that screaming got them results.
The political landscape has become an adult playground during recess.
Fortunately, the whole debacle is just as amusing as it is tragic.
They’ll lose their steam, and they’ll lose their breath, and as time marches forward, the TRUE facts will be proven through actions, not screaming and singing and grandstanding with beer and fruit. Their unfounded arguments and protests will wither and die on the vine because they have no substance to them.
By all means, if you feel the need to protest and make your voice heard, then DO IT, but don’t think for even a second that you will change the world by doing it the way it’s being done now.
Of course, The People hope the protestors would keep on going the way they are, if for no other reason than for them to discredit themselves into oblivion…and give us all some real-time comic relief in the process.
That works for me.
